Halloween in Paris 2026: Disneyland, Parc Astérix, Parties, Cruises and Family Outings

by stillinparis

This year Halloween falls on a Saturday (31 October 2026), right in the middle of the French All Saints’ school holidays (17 October to 2 November). Paris and its region are already in pumpkin mode: theme parks, cruises, immersive experiences, escape games and costume parties. Here are the 2026 highlights, with the dates we could verify. Updated 20 October 2026.

Halloween 2026 at a glance

  • Saturday 31 October: Halloween
  • Sunday 1 November: All Saints’ Day (Toussaint), a public holiday that is not moved to another day
  • Monday 2 November: last day of the school holidays, All Souls’ Day
  • Disney Halloween Festival: 26 September to 1 November
  • Peur sur le Parc (Parc Astérix): 3 October to 8 November
  • Día de los Muertos (Jardin d’Acclimatation): 3 October to 1 November
  • Parc de l’étrange (Parc André-Citroën, 15th arr.): 16 to 31 October

Which one for which age?

  • Toddlers (up to 6): the Jardin d’Acclimatation and its parade, La Mer de Sable, and a pumpkin-carving workshop on a farm.
  • Ages 6 to 12: Disneyland Paris, a family Halloween cruise on the Seine, the Paris Zoological Park.
  • Teenagers and adults: the haunted houses at Parc Astérix, immersive experiences, escape games and murder parties.

Disneyland Paris: the Disney Halloween Festival

The festival runs from 26 September to 1 November 2026 in Disneyland Park, and for the first time it starts before 1 October. Expect the Mickey’s Halloween Celebration cavalcade, seasonal decorations, meet-and-greets with Disney Villains, the Main Street projection show and the return of the Unlucky Nugget Saloon, the Frontierland restaurant dressed up as Phantom Manor. The festival is included in the park ticket; no separately ticketed party night had been announced for 2026 at the time of writing.

The Halloween weekend is one of the busiest of the season: arrive at opening time. Right after it, the park switches to Christmas on 7 November: see Christmas at Disneyland Paris.

Parc Astérix: Peur sur le Parc

From 3 October to 8 November 2026, Parc Astérix (in Plailly, north of Paris) turns scary. The 2026 edition has five haunted houses, including a first haunted forest, plus shows, children’s activities and creatures roaming the alleys. The park also opens late (until 1 am) on 10, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30 and 31 October and on 7 November. It is the scariest option on this list, so think teenagers and adults, and check opening hours and age limits before you go.

Jardin d’Acclimatation: Day of the Dead

In the Bois de Boulogne (16th arrondissement), the Jardin d’Acclimatation gives Halloween a Mexican twist from 3 October to 1 November 2026, with decorations, music, mariachis and a big parade, for the whole family. Park admission is charged (free for children under 80 cm).

Immersive experiences, escape games and murder parties

  • Parc de l’étrange: from 16 to 31 October 2026, the immersive experience returns for its third edition in the Parc André-Citroën (15th arrondissement).
  • The Cursed Dungeon (Le Donjon de Paris, near République): a route that blends escape game, immersive theatre and live actors on several evenings in October.
  • The Dark Dreams Paris: an immersive adventure mixing theatre, escape game and a maze, until 3 November 2026.
  • Murder party at the Cité de l’architecture: two team-based investigations, ages 13 and up, on 3 and 31 October 2026.
  • Le Grand Hôtel de Paris (The One Escape): a horror escape game for the bravest.
  • Potions & Co and Le Magicien de Paris: for would-be wizards, an “escape bar” and a magic-themed escape game.

Book these in advance, especially for the weekend of 31 October.

Halloween parties in Paris: 30 and 31 October

Bars, clubs and boats hold costume parties on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October. Most are booked online and sell out in advance; for Saturday night, book several days ahead and check the dress code. To compare, Sortiraparis lists the parties arrondissement by arrondissement.

On the Seine: Halloween cruises

  • Vedettes du Pont Neuf: a Halloween cruise on 31 October 2026, mixing a costume-party mood with night views of the monuments. It leaves from the Vert-Galant at the foot of the Pont Neuf (metro Pont Neuf). See our guide to Vedettes du Pont Neuf.

Around Paris: parks, zoo and workshops

  • La Mer de Sable (Ermenonville): the “Epouvantable Mer de Sable” celebrates its 10th edition in 2026 with new attractions. A park better suited to young children; check dates and hours.
  • The Paris Zoological Park (Bois de Vincennes): a Halloween programme built around animals people fear, with a mostly educational angle.
  • The Rambouillet National Sheepfold (Yvelines): a “school of wizards” for Halloween 2026.
  • Pumpkin-carving workshops: educational farms and pick-your-own farms around Paris let children carve a pumpkin during the holidays (usually from age 5). Ask the farm.
  • The Horror Caravan (Neuilly-sur-Marne): a free immersive experience on 23 and 24 October 2026.
  • Musée de l’Air et de l’Espace (Le Bourget): the museum becomes a crime scene for Halloween.
